1 | SENATE RESOLUTION
| ||||||
2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Corrine Luka of North Chicago, who passed | ||||||
4 | away on October 2, 2018; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Corrine Luka retired from the North Chicago Police | ||||||
6 | Department after 29 years of service; and
| ||||||
7 | WHEREAS, As an advisor for the program, Corrine Luka was | ||||||
8 | very proud of the growth and maturity of "her kids" in the NCPD | ||||||
9 | Explorer Unit; she enjoyed cooking for her beloved family and | ||||||
10 | her "Boys", the officers at NCPD; her greatest joy was spending | ||||||
11 | time with her children and grandchildren; she also looked | ||||||
12 | forward to visiting her friends around the country; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Corrine Luka was preceded in death by her parents, | ||||||
14 | Joseph and Evelyn Pregrocki; and
| ||||||
15 | WHEREAS, Corrine Luka is survived by her children, Colleen | ||||||
16 | (Al Pichl) Thompson and Jamie (Grace) Luka; her grandchildren, | ||||||
17 | Danielle (Jeff) Courtney, April (Matt) Puskar, Jackie Luka, | ||||||
18 | Joshua Luka, and Jacob Luka; her great-granddaughter, Isabelle | ||||||
19 | Puskar; and her brother, Joseph (Jayne) Pregrocki; therefore, | ||||||

1 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | ||||||
2 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
3 | Corrine Luka and extend our sincere condolences to her family, | ||||||
4 | friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further
| ||||||
5 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
6 | presented to the family of Corrine Luka as an expression of our | ||||||
7 | deepest sympathy.
