AN ACT TO RESTORE THE RIGHT OF SUFFRAGE TO EVON WILLIAMS OF HINDS COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The right of suffrage is hereby fully and completely restored to Evon Williams of Hinds County, Mississippi, who was disqualified as an elector as a result of her conviction for the crime of Accessory After The Fact To Business Burglary on September 10, 2012, in Madison County, Mississippi, for which she was sentenced to serve five (5) years in the Intensive Supervision Program and four (4) years under supervised probation, with both sentences to run concurrently.

     She was discharged on September 10, 2013, released on probation on November 8, 2016, and released from the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections.  The Legislature is informed that she has since conducted herself as a law-abiding and honorable citizen in a good and lawful manner.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
