R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Tristin Parker of Winnie was recently named the 2023
  Resistol Rookie of the Year in bull riding; and
         WHEREAS, The Resistol rookie bull riding leader, Mr. Parker
  is currently ranked eighth overall in the PRCA world standings with
  more than $150,000 in earnings; over the past year, he has won a
  number of competitions, including the Xtreme Bulls Tour in Grand
  Island, Nebraska, the Crockett Lions Club PRCA Rodeo, the World's
  Oldest Rodeo in Prescott, Arizona, and the Pasadena Livestock Show &
  Rodeo, and he was named cochampion at the Dixie National Rodeo in
  Jackson, Mississippi, and the Sheridan WYO Rodeo in Sheridan,
  Wyoming; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Parker's exemplary record of success has earned
  him a spot at the National Finals Rodeo, which is taking place in
  Las Vegas, Nevada, from December 7 through December 16, 2023; and
         WHEREAS, Tristin Parker is a source of great pride to his
  family and community, and he is indeed deserving of this
  prestigious honor; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby congratulate Tristin
  Parker on being named the 2023 Resistol Rookie of the Year in bull
  riding and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success
  at the National Finals Rodeo; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Parker as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
