WHEREAS, Tristin Parker of Winnie was recently named the 2023 | ||
Resistol Rookie of the Year in bull riding; and | ||
WHEREAS, The Resistol rookie bull riding leader, Mr. Parker | ||
is currently ranked eighth overall in the PRCA world standings with | ||
more than $150,000 in earnings; over the past year, he has won a | ||
number of competitions, including the Xtreme Bulls Tour in Grand | ||
Island, Nebraska, the Crockett Lions Club PRCA Rodeo, the World's | ||
Oldest Rodeo in Prescott, Arizona, and the Pasadena Livestock Show & | ||
Rodeo, and he was named cochampion at the Dixie National Rodeo in | ||
Jackson, Mississippi, and the Sheridan WYO Rodeo in Sheridan, | ||
Wyoming; and | ||
WHEREAS, Mr. Parker's exemplary record of success has earned | ||
him a spot at the National Finals Rodeo, which is taking place in | ||
Las Vegas, Nevada, from December 7 through December 16, 2023; and | ||
WHEREAS, Tristin Parker is a source of great pride to his | ||
family and community, and he is indeed deserving of this | ||
prestigious honor; now, therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas | ||
Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby congratulate Tristin | ||
Parker on being named the 2023 Resistol Rookie of the Year in bull | ||
riding and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success | ||
at the National Finals Rodeo; and, be it further | ||
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
prepared for Mr. Parker as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
House of Representatives. | ||
