AN ACT

 

Appropriating monies to the dangerous plants, pests and diseases trust fund.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1.  Appropriation; Arizona department of agriculture; inspectors; reversion

A.  The sum of $887,400 is appropriated from the state general fund in fiscal year 2020-2021 to the dangerous plants, pests and diseases trust fund established by section 3-214.01, Arizona Revised Statutes.  The Arizona department of agriculture shall use the monies to hire inspectors.

B.  Notwithstanding section 3-214.01, subsection D, Arizona Revised Statutes, any monies remaining unexpended and unencumbered on September 30, 2021 from the appropriation made by subsection A of this section revert to the state general fund.
