AN ACT
amending section 13‑820, Arizona Revised Statutes; relating to restitution and fines.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Section 13-820, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended to read:
13-820. Contempt proceedings; failure to comply with order
If the garnishee fails to comply with the terms of the order of criminal garnishment within thirty fifteen days after receiving the order, the victim or the court, the clerk of the court or the prosecuting attorney may petition the court for an order to show cause why the garnishee should not be held in contempt. If the court finds that the failure was wilful or the result of gross negligence, the court shall find the garnishee in contempt and shall award the petitioner reasonable attorney fees, costs and an additional penalty of not more than five hundred dollars.
