AN ACT AMENDING THE CITIZENS' ELECTION PROGRAM TO ELIMINATE GRANTS FOR UNOPPOSED CANDIDATES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to prohibit candidates who are unopposed from participating in the Citizens' Election Program.
Statement of Purpose:
To prevent grants from the Citizens' Election Fund from being used by candidates who are unopposed.
