AN ACT CONCERNING COLLECTIVE BARGAINING, PENSIONS AND HEALTH CARE.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

Section 1. (NEW) (Effective October 1, 2010) On or before January 1, 2011, and annually thereafter, the Labor Commissioner shall report, in accordance with section 11-4a of the general statutes, to the Governor and the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to labor, on the status of collective bargaining agreements in the state. Such report shall include any recommendations for administrative or legislative action related to collective bargaining agreements in the state.

Sec. 2. (NEW) (Effective October 1, 2010) On or before January 1, 2011, and annually thereafter, the Labor Commissioner shall report, in accordance with section 11-4a of the general statutes, to the Governor and the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to labor, on the status of pensions in the state. Such report shall include any recommendations for administrative or legislative action related to pensions in the state.

Sec. 3 (NEW) (Effective October 1, 2010) On or before January 1, 2011, and annually thereafter, the Labor Commissioner shall report, in accordance with section 11-4a of the general statutes, to the Governor and the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to labor, on the status of health care in the state. Such report shall include any recommendations for administrative or legislative action related to health care in the state.

This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:

Statement of Purpose:

To require the Labor Commissioner to report on the status of collective bargaining, pensions, and health care in the state.
