AN ACT CONCERNING PENALTIES FOR THE FALSIFICATION OF PUBLIC BENEFIT APPLICATIONS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to institute an unpaid suspension of not less than two months and a loss of seniority for any state employee who is found to have falsified an application for public benefits.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide financial relief to the state and to discourage public benefit fraud by state employees.
