AN ACT IMPOSING A PENALTY FOR THE UNAUTHORIZED CONNECTION TO A TOWN SEWER SYSTEM.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to authorize the imposition of a fine of five hundred dollars upon any person who connects a sump pump or gutter and downspout system to a town sewer system.
Statement of Purpose:
To save on the costs of building and maintaining municipal water pollution facilities by permitting a fine for unauthorized connections to such facilities.
