AN ACT REQUIRING THE ADMINISTRATION OF AN ULTRASOUND PROCEDURE PRIOR TO THE TERMINATION OF A PREGNANCY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 368y of the general statutes be amended to require a health care provider who performs an abortion to administer an ultrasound procedure for the health benefit of the patient prior to engaging in any procedure that will terminate the pregnancy.
Statement of Purpose:
To ensure the health and well being of an individual who decides to terminate a pregnancy.
