AN ACT WAIVING THE FEE FOR HAVING DRIVER'S LICENSES OR IDENTITY CARDS REISSUED PRIOR TO EXPIRATION WITH AN INDICATION OF STATUS AS A VETERAN.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 14-50a of the general statutes be amended to waive the thirty-dollar fee for reissuing a motor vehicle operator's license or identity card for any veteran that seeks to have any such license or card reissued, prior to its expiration, with the veteran status designation.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide veterans, free of charge, with a deserved recognition of their status on their motor vehicle operator's licenses or identity cards.
