AN ACT SHIELDING FIRE DEPARTMENTS THAT INSTALL SMOKE AND CARBON DIOXIDE DETECTORS FROM LIABILITY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to shield fire departments that install smoke and carbon monoxide detectors or batteries in such detectors from any liability stemming from such installation as long as such installation is done in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and in such department's official capacity.
Statement of Purpose:
To shield fire departments that install smoke and carbon monoxide detectors from any liability stemming from such installation.
