AN ACT REQUIRING THE DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES TO REPORT PROGRAM METRICS OF THE DEPARTMENT'S NONEMERGENCY MEDICAL TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

Section 1. (Effective from passage) On or before July 1, 2012, the Commissioner of Social Services shall report in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a of the general statutes to the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to transportation regarding the metrics and reimbursement rates of the Department of Social Services' contracts for nonemergency medical transportation services.

Statement of Purpose:

To require the Commissioner of Social Services to report the metrics of the department's Medicaid transportation program to the Transportation Committee.
