AN ACT ALLOWING PROXY VOTING ON REGIONAL COUNCILS OF GOVERNMENTS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 4-124k of the general statutes be amended to allow a chief elected official who represents a member municipality on a regional council of governments to designate a proxy to vote on his or her behalf.

Statement of Purpose:

To allow a municipality to designate a representative to attend and vote at meetings of the regional council of governments.
