AN ACT CONCERNING DEFINED CONTRIBUTION RETIREMENT PLANS FOR NEW STATE EMPLOYEES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to require all state employees and officials hired on and after the effective date of this act to participate in a defined contribution benefit plan.

Statement of Purpose:

To reduce state pension costs.
