AN ACT CONCERNING FUNDING TO MUNICIPALITIES FOR COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH HOMELESS PAROLEES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to provide for reimbursement from the Department of Correction to municipalities for costs associated with homeless parolees who are not residents of the municipality and who have no exit strategy.
Statement of Purpose:
To encourage the Department of Correction to work with the municipality on a parolee's discharge plans before the parolee is released.
