AN ACT CONCERNING THE USE OF PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE STUDENT INFORMATION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 10 of the general statutes be amended to require that any personally identifiable information about students in grades kindergarten to twelve, inclusive, that is collected by providers of online educational web sites, programs and services, cloud services or mobile applications or third parties be used strictly for purposes relating to educational learning for grades kindergarten to twelve, inclusive, and shall not be disclosed or sold to any subsequent third party.
Statement of Purpose:
To prevent the dissemination of sensitive student information and data.
