AN ACT CONCERNING PAYMENTS IN LIEU OF TAXES TO MUNICIPALITIES WITH GENERAL AVIATION AIRPORTS MANAGED BY THE CONNECTICUT AIRPORT AUTHORITY.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to provide that the state shall make payments in lieu of taxes to each municipality in which a general aviation airport managed by the Connecticut Airport Authority is located at a rate equal to one hundred per cent of the property taxes that would have been paid with respect to the airport except for the exemption applicable to the airport.

Statement of Purpose:

To fully reimburse municipalities through PILOT for property tax losses associated with general aviation airports managed by the Connecticut Airport Authority.
