AN ACT CONCERNING THE LABELLING OF FARM STAND EGGS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

Section 1. Section 22-47 of the general statutes is repealed and the following is substituted in lieu thereof (Effective from passage):

Producers selling eggs of their own producing direct to household users are exempt from the provisions of this part provided such eggs are not falsely labeled or adulterated, as described in section 22-45. All types of shippers selling eggs to a first receiver who will grade them into the proper size and grade before reselling are exempt from the provisions of this part.

This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:

To ensure that all eggs are acceptable for consumption, regardless of their source.
