AN ACT AUTHORIZING MUNICIPALITIES TO WAIVE DELINQUENT PROPERTY TAX PENALTIES FOR CERTAIN MILITARY PERSONNEL.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to authorize municipalities to waive interest and penalties for delinquent property tax payments for any resident who is a member of the armed forces and incurred such interest and penalties while on active duty.

Statement of Purpose:

To permit towns to waive delinquent property tax interest and penalties for members of the armed forces.
