AN ACT CONCERNING MEDICAID COVERAGE FOR PERSONS WITH AUTISM.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 17a-215c of the general statutes be amended to require the Commissioner of Social Services to apply for a Medicaid waiver to provide home and community-based services, including early screening, diagnosis and treatment of developmental disabilities for persons with autism.
Statement of Purpose:
To obtain a waiver of Medicaid rules to allow improved and earlier diagnosis and treatment of autism.
