AN ACT CONCERNING THE ISSUANCE OF DUPLICATE LICENSE PLATES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to allow the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles to mail any duplicate license plate to any registered owner of a motor vehicle.

Statement of Purpose:

To eliminate any requirement for a registered motor vehicle owner to appear in person at a branch of the Department of Motor Vehicles to obtain duplicate license plates.
