AN ACT ALLOWING BROWNFIELD REMEDIATION FUNDS TO BE USED FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF SHORELINE PROTECTION MEASURES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That sections 32-763 and 32-765 of the general statutes be amended to allow brownfield remediation and development grants and loans to be used for the construction of bulkheads and shoreline protection measures for waterfront properties.
Statement of Purpose:
To allow brownfield remediation and development funds to be used for shoreline protection measures in order to keep capped contaminated soil from migrating into adjacent bodies of water.
