AN ACT CONCERNING UNBORN VICTIMS OF VIOLENCE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 53a-3 of the general statutes be amended to provide that the term "person", when used to describe the victim of an offense, includes a child in utero.
Statement of Purpose:
To create justice for unborn victims of violence by providing that a child in utero may be considered a victim if killed or injured as a result of a crime.
