AN ACT CREATING A GIFTED AND TALENTED STUDENTS POSITION AT THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 163 of the general statutes be amended to require the Department of Education to designate an employee of the department, preferably an employee who has experience working with gifted and talented students, to be responsible for providing information and assistance to local and regional boards of education and the parents or guardians of students relating to awareness about and identification of, and the provision of services to, gifted and talented students.
