Summary

The 2019 Delaware Literacy Plan (Literacy Plan) established a framework to address Delawares literacy challenges. The Literacy Plan concluded that a strong teacher preparation program should lay the foundation for teachers to be able to engage students in the essential components of evidenced-based reading instruction, known as the "science of reading."
