       Senator Stargel moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Delete lines 23 - 64
    4  and insert:
    5         (c)Has no conviction or other disqualifying event under s.
    6  633.412(2);
    7         (d)Complies with s. 633.412(3); and
    8         (e)1.Is recorded on a fire service provider roster in the
    9  division’s online electronic database; or
   10         2.Was previously certified as a firefighter or volunteer
   11  firefighter in this state.
   12         (2)A firefighter may have his or her Firefighter
   13  Certificate of Compliance or a Volunteer Firefighter Certificate
   14  of Completion placed into a Lifetime Firefighter designation by
   15  applying to the division at the time required to renew the
   16  certificate. The application shall be made on a form prescribed
   17  by the division.
   18         (3)A Lifetime Firefighter may not engage in firefighting
   19  activities with a fire department unless he or she holds a
   20  current and valid Firefighter Certificate of Compliance or
   21  Special Certificate of Compliance issued by the division under
   22  s. 633.408.
   23         (4)After the division approves a currently employed
   24  firefighter’s Lifetime Firefighter designation, the division
   25  shall, after the firefighter’s 4-year period pursuant to s.
   26  633.414, issue in its online electronic database the Lifetime
   27  Firefighter designation upon the end of such period.
   28         (5)If a firefighter’s Firefighter Certificate of
   29  Compliance or Volunteer Firefighter Certificate of Completion is
   30  current upon the approval of a Lifetime Firefighter designation
   31  and he or she applies to renew such certification within the
   32  first 4 years after the date of such approval, he or she must
   33  successfully complete the Minimum Standards Course examination
   34  for a firefighter under s. 633.408(1)(a), or the course
   35  examinations under s. 633.408(1)(b) for a volunteer firefighter,
   36  and meet all requirements in s. 633.412.
   37         (6)If a firefighter’s Firefighter Certificate of
   38  Compliance or Volunteer Firefighter Certificate of Completion
   39  has expired upon receiving the Lifetime Firefighter designation
   40  and he or she desires to perform firefighting services within
   41  the first 4 years after the date of approval of the Lifetime
   42  Firefighter designation, the firefighter must successfully
   43  complete the Minimum Standards Course examination for a
   44  firefighter under s. 633.408(1)(a), or the course examinations
   45  under s. 633.408(1)(b) for a volunteer firefighter, and meet all
   46  requirements in s. 633.412.
   47         (7)A Lifetime Firefighter designation shall be revoked for
   48  any of the conditions stated in s. 633.426(3) or s. 633.426(4).
   49  The division may investigate and take such action under s.
   50  633.426 to implement this subsection.
