Senator Brodeur moved the following:
1 Senate Amendment (with title amendment)

3 Delete lines 230 - 242
4 and insert:
5 (a) Except as provided in paragraph (b), an individual’s
6 “weekly benefit amount” is an amount equal to one twenty-sixth
7 of the total wages for insured work paid during that quarter of
8 the base period in which the total wages paid were the highest,
9 but not less than $100 $32 or more than $375 $275. The weekly
10 benefit amount, if not a multiple of $1, is rounded downward to
11 the nearest full dollar amount. The maximum weekly benefit
12 amount in effect at the time the claimant establishes an
13 individual weekly benefit amount is the maximum benefit amount
14 applicable throughout the claimant’s benefit year.
15 (b) If an individual’s weekly benefit calculated pursuant
16 to paragraph (a) would result in a weekly benefit amount of less
17 than $100, the individual’s weekly benefit amount may not exceed
18 one-thirteenth of the total wages for insured work paid during
19 the quarter of the base period in which the total wages paid
20 were the highest.
