RESOLUTION
Honoring
and commending Irma Braswell-Battle; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Irma Braswell-Battle was united in love and marriage to Lorenza Battle and is
blessed with five remarkable children; and
WHEREAS,
a woman of deep and abiding faith, since she was nine years of age Irma has been
a member of Unionville Baptist Church where she sings in the choir and works on
the senior usher board; and
WHEREAS,
she is a nurse who works with the elderly as well as with the League, Give Back
to the Community, and the black women in the community with ways to get jobs and
lodging, leading them in the right direction, and encouraging them to vote;
and
WHEREAS,
she is a member of Smooth Ashlar Grand Chapter; and
WHEREAS,
she gives inspiration to many through her high ideals, morals, and deep concern
for her fellow citizens, and the devotion, patience, and understanding she
demonstrates to her family and friends is admired by others; and
WHEREAS,
she is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for
integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness and, by the example she makes of
her life, she makes this world a better place in which to live.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF
REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend Irma Braswell-Battle for
the outstanding contributions to her community and the State of
Georgia.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit and appropriate copy of this resolution to Irma
Braswell-Battle.
