A RESOLUTION


Recognizing and commending the Ocmulgee Judicial Circuit CFR Committees; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, the Ocmulgee Judicial Circuit CFR Committees are recognized for their outstanding achievement in 2011 acknowledging the hard work of all CFR members in Baldwin, Greene, Hancock, Jasper, Jones, Putnam, Morgan, and Wilkinson counties who have made the Ocmulgee Circuit improve compliance, child death notifications, cross-county communications, and online reporting accuracy; and

WHEREAS, under the direction of District Attorney Fred Bright, the Ocmulgee Circuit has far surpassed CFR expectations; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Bright delegated the CFR responsibilities to the Georgia's P.O.R.C.H. group, where they handle all communication and coordination of information on child deaths between key members of the CFR committees; and

WHEREAS, Cindy Doss and Lisa Cantrell have worked diligently to ensure that the state CFR office is aware of all activities so that all children who have died are accounted for and a timely multi-disciplinary review occurs; and

WHEREAS, the Ocmulgee Judicial Circuit CFR Committees have long been recognized by the citizens of this state for the vital role that they have played in leadership and their deep personal commitment to the welfare of the citizens of Georgia.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body join together to recognize the Ocmulgee Judicial Circuit CFR Committees for their 2011 outstanding achievements and commend their service to their community and this state.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to the Ocmulgee Judicial Circuit CFR Committees.
