URGING THE CITY AND COUNTY OF HONOLULU TO WORK WITH STAKEHOLDERS TO CONSTRUCT A SIDEWALK FOR PEDESTRIAN SAFETY WHILE TRAVELING BETWEEN IROQUOIS POINT AND EWA BEACH.
WHEREAS, the safety of pedestrians traveling from Iroquois Point to Ewa Beach is of paramount importance; and
WHEREAS, the Hawaii Department of Transportation has recognized the importance of available sidewalks by identifying pedestrians and bicyclists as the most vulnerable roadway users; and

WHEREAS, it is imperative to address this safety concern promptly to prevent potential accidents and protect lives; and
WHEREAS, the region between Iroquois Point and Ewa Beach interests many stakeholders including private property owners, the United States Navy, the City and County of Honolulu, and the Ewa Beach Country Club; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the House of Representatives of the Thirty-third Legislature of the State of Hawaii, Regular Session of 2025, the Senate concurring, that the City and County of Honolulu is urged to work with stakeholders to construct a sidewalk for pedestrian safety while traveling between Iroquois Point and Ewa Beach; and
