A BILL FOR AN ACT
RELATING TO THE UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
"§304A- Annual
report; employees working outside of the State. The performance of work by university
employees is a matter of statewide concern.
Beginning December 31, 2023, and each December 31 thereafter, the
university shall submit an annual report to the legislature of all university
employees who performed work from a location outside of the State during the
applicable year. The report shall
include, for each employee who performed work from a location outside of the
State, the position, position description, salary range, and duration of time
spent performing work from a location outside of the State."
SECTION 2. New statutory material is underscored.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.

Requires
the University of Hawaii to submit annual reports of all University employees
who performed work from a location outside of the State during the applicable
year to the Legislature no later than December 31 of that year. (SD1)
