A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

RELATING TO THE HAWAII COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  Section 206E-18, Hawaii Revised Statutes, allows state or county agencies to render services to the Hawaii community development authority upon request. 

     The Hawaii community development authority wishes to utilize its cumulative experience and knowledge to assist other state and county agencies.

     Accordingly, the purpose of this Act is to amend section 206E-18, Hawaii Revised Statutes, to clarify that the Hawaii community development authority may provide services to and assist state and county agencies on projects within and outside of designated community development districts upon request.

     SECTION 2.  Section 206E-18, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended to read as follows:

     "[[]§206E-18[]]  Assistance by and to state and county agencies.  Any state or county agency may render services to, assist, and enter into cooperative agreements with the authority upon request of the authority[.] for purposes of this chapter.  Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in this chapter, upon request of a state or county agency, the authority may render services to, assist, and enter into cooperative agreements with state or county agencies for projects within and outside of designated community development districts."

     SECTION 3.  Statutory material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken.  New statutory material is underscored.

     SECTION 4.  This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
