  1  1    Section 1.  Section 8B.22, subsection 2, paragraph f, Code
  1  2 2015, is amended to read as follows:
  1  3    f.  Assist participating agencies in converting printed
  1  4 government materials to electronic materials which can be
  1  5 accessed through an internet searchable database.  In addition,
  1  6 assist participating agencies in utilizing garamond fonts and
  1  7 consistent font sizes for printed government materials to
  1  8 reduce printing costs, if possible, while ensuring readability
  1  9 and the ability of converting materials to electronic
  1 10 materials.
  1 11                           EXPLANATION
  1 12 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with
  1 13 the explanation's substance by the members of the general assembly.
  1 14    This bill requires the office of the chief information
  1 15 officer to assist agencies in utilizing garamond fonts and
  1 16 consistent font sizes for printed government materials to
  1 17 reduce costs while ensuring readability and the ability to
  1 18 convert materials to electronic materials.
