CERTAIN
NONPROFIT
CORPORATIONS
PROVIDING
EMERGENCY
RESPONSE
SERVICES.
BE
IT
ENACTED
BY
THE
GENERAL
ASSEMBLY
OF
THE
STATE
OF
IOWA:
Section
1.
Section
670.4,
subsection
1,
paragraph
k,
Code
2019,
is
amended
to
read
as
follows:
k.
A
claim
based
upon
or
arising
out
of
an
act
or
omission
of
a
municipality
in
connection
with
an
emergency
response
including
but
not
limited
to
acts
or
omissions
in
connection
with
emergency
response
communications
services.
For
the
purposes
of
this
paragraph,
“municipality”
includes
a
nonprofit
corporation
that
delivers
such
emergency
response
services
on
behalf
of
a
city,
county,
township,
or
benefited
fire
district
pursuant
to
a
written
contract.
The
city,
county,
township,
or
benefited
fire
district
shall
file
the
written
contract
and
any
amendment,
modification,
or
notice
of
termination
of
the
contract
in
an
electronic
format
with
the
secretary
of
state
within
thirty
days
of
the
effective
date
of
the
contract,
