| 2 | | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2357 on page 2, |
| 3 | | line 1, by inserting after "atmosphere." the following: |
| 4 | | "Counties, townships, and municipalities are encouraged to |
| 5 | | plant trees and native prairie grasses along roadways and |
| 6 | | other practical areas to forward the goal of introducing more |
| 7 | | carbon-absorbing foliage to communities for the purpose of |
| 8 | | mitigating the effects of climate change."; and
|
| 9 | | on page 3, by inserting immediately below line 4 the |
| 10 | | following: |
| 11 | | "(2) local projects along roadways and parks by |
| 12 | | planting trees and prairie grasses demonstrated to absorb |
| 13 | | carbon;"; and
|
| 14 | | on page 3, line 5, by replacing "(2)" with "(3)"; and
|
| 15 | | on page 3, line 9, by replacing "(3)" with "(4)".
