1		AN ACT concerning government.
2		Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3		represented in the General Assembly:
4		Section 5. The State Commemorative Dates Act is amended by
5		adding Section 11 as follows:
6		(5 ILCS 490/11 new)
7		Sec. 11. Italian-American Heritage Month. The month of
8		October of each year is designated as Italian-American
9		Heritage Month to be observed throughout the State as a month
10		to recognize the contributions and influence of Italians on
11		American history, achievement, culture, and innovation.
