1 | AN ACT concerning civil law.

2 | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

3 | represented in the General Assembly:

4 | Section 5. The Eminent Domain Act is amended by changing | |||||||||||||||||||
5 | Section 20-5-25 as follows:

6 | (735 ILCS 30/20-5-25) (was 735 ILCS 5/7-107)

7 | Sec. 20-5-25. Persons contesting not to be prejudiced. | |||||||||||||||||||
8 | Neither the
plaintiff nor nor any party interested in the | |||||||||||||||||||
9 | property, by taking any action
authorized by Sections 20-5-5 | |||||||||||||||||||
10 | through 20-5-20, inclusive, of this Act, or authorized under | |||||||||||||||||||
11 | Article 25 of this Act, shall be
prejudiced in any way in | |||||||||||||||||||
12 | contesting, in later stages of the proceeding, the
amount to be | |||||||||||||||||||
13 | finally ascertained to be just compensation. | |||||||||||||||||||
