1		AN ACT concerning local government.
2		Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3		represented in the General Assembly:
4		Section 5. The Civic Center Code is amended by adding
5		Section 2-160 as follows:
6		(70 ILCS 200/2-160 new)
7		Sec. 2-160. Buildings available for emergency purposes.
8		The Authority shall make buildings of a civic center organized
9		under this Code available for emergency purposes upon the
10		request of the Illinois Emergency Management Agency, a
11		State-accredited emergency management agency with
12		jurisdiction, or the American Red Cross. The Authority shall
13		cooperate in all matters with the Illinois Emergency Management
14		Agency, local emergency management agencies, a
15		State-accredited emergency management agency with
16		jurisdiction, local public health departments, the American
17		Red Cross, and federal agencies concerned with emergency
18		preparedness and response.
19		Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
20		becoming law.
