1		AN ACT concerning regulation.
2		Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3		represented in the General Assembly:
4		Section 5. The Illinois Insurance Code is amended by adding
5		Section 356z.33 as follows:
6		(215 ILCS 5/356z.33 new)
7		Sec. 356z.33. Coverage for cardiopulmonary monitors. A
8		group or individual policy of accident and health insurance
9		amended, delivered, issued, or renewed after the effective date
10		of this amendatory Act of the 101st General Assembly shall
11		provide coverage for cardiopulmonary monitors determined to be
12		medically necessary for a person 18 years old or younger who
13		has had a cardiopulmonary event.
14		Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect January
15		1, 2020.
