| 1 | AN ACT concerning utilities.

| 2 | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

| 3 | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | Section 5. The Public Utilities Act is amended by adding | ||||||
| 5 | Section 8-209 as follows:
| ||||||
| 6 | (220 ILCS 5/8-209 new) | ||||||
| 7 | Sec. 8-209. Customer account holds. A public utility must | ||||||
| 8 | release an account hold on a customer's account within 5 | ||||||
| 9 | business days after the customer has made a payment in full to | ||||||
| 10 | the public utility.
