HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, It is highly fitting that the Illinois General
3Assembly pays honor and respect to truly great individuals who
4have served our country and, in doing so, have made the
5ultimate sacrifice for our nation; and
6 WHEREAS, Lance Cpl. Kleiboeker was assigned to the 2nd
7Combat Engineer Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, based at Camp
8Lejeune, North Carolina; he was raised in Odin, which is
9located 148 miles south of Springfield just south of
10Centralia; he graduated from Odin High School, a school of
11less than one hundred students, in 2001 where he was an Honor
12Roll student; and
13 WHEREAS, Lance Cpl. Kleiboeker enjoyed hunting and fishing
14and chose to serve his country by pursuing a lifelong dream of
15becoming a Marine; he planned to go to college before officers
16school; and
17 WHEREAS, The passing of Lance Cpl. Nicholas Brian
18Kleiboeker will be deeply felt by all who knew him, including
19his mother, Teresa Clark, his father, Gary Kleiboeker, his
20father's wife, Sheryl, his sisters, Jessica, Jennifer, and
21Brittany, and his brothers, JR, JD, Shane, and Samuel;
22therefore, be it

1 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
2HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE
3SENATE CONCURRING HEREIN, that we designate the section of
4U.S. Route 50 as it runs through Odin as the "Lance Cpl.
5Nicholas Brian Kleiboeker Highway"; and be it further
6 RESOLVED, That the Illinois Department of Transportation
7is requested to erect at suitable locations, consistent with
8State and federal regulations, appropriate plaques or signs
9giving notice of the name "Lance Cpl. Nicholas Brian
10Kleiboeker Highway"; and be it further
11 RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Lance Cpl. Nicholas Brian
13Kleiboeker, the Mayor of Odin, and the Secretary of the
14Illinois Department of Transportation.
