3 | | Representatives wish to recognize Lieutenant Colonel Maria |
4 | | Elizabeth Sanchez on her career, her achievements, and her |
5 | | contribution to the State; and

6 | | WHEREAS, LTC Sanchez is the commander of the 6th Battalion |
7 | | and Chicago Military Entrance Processing Station and supports |
8 | | the USMEPCOM mission of evaluating applicants by applying |
9 | | Department of Defense standards in processing and determining |
10 | | eligibility for military service; and
|
11 | | WHEREAS, LTC Sanchez enlisted in the United States Army at |
12 | | Phoenix MEPS and received her commission through Officer |
13 | | Candidate School at Fort Benning, Georgia; and
|
14 | | WHEREAS, LTC Sanchez has served as photo and layout |
15 | | specialist with the 4th Psychological Operations Group |
16 | | (Airborne) at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, squad leader with |
17 | | the 70th Engineer Company at Fort Shafter, Hawaii, platoon |
18 | | sergeant with the 100th Engineer Company at Fort Bragg, and |
19 | | instructor with the Defense Mapping School at Fort Belvoir, |
20 | | Virginia; and

21 | | WHEREAS, LTC Sanchez's commissioned assignments include |
