2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
3 | Representatives wish to congratulate Dana Rosenzweig on the | ||||||
4 | occasion of his retirement from the St. Clair County Mental | ||||||
5 | Health Board; and
| ||||||
6 | WHEREAS, Dana Rosenzweig has served as the executive | ||||||
7 | director of the St. Clair County Mental Health Board since | ||||||
8 | 1999; he has been responsible for the overall management, | ||||||
9 | development, planning, programming, and budgeting as related | ||||||
10 | to the utilization of local government funds for the purchase | ||||||
11 | and coordination of community mental health, developmental | ||||||
12 | disability, and substance use disorder services for residents | ||||||
13 | of St. Clair County; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, Dana Rosenzweig has additionally served as a | ||||||
15 | member of the Association of Community Mental Health | ||||||
16 | Authorities of Illinois (ACMHAI), providing leadership in | ||||||
17 | advancing behavioral health practice to St. Clair County since | ||||||
18 | 1987; he served as a past president from 2002 to 2003 and chair | ||||||
19 | of the Legislative Committee from 2013 to 2023; within ACMHAI, | ||||||
20 | he was known as an ongoing contributor, a strong advocate, and | ||||||
21 | a skilled spokesperson on behavioral health, substance use, | ||||||
22 | and intellectual/developmental disabilities; and

1 | WHEREAS, Dana Rosenzweig has held numerous professional | ||||||
2 | appointments and affiliations, including being a governor | ||||||
3 | appointee to the Illinois Council on Aging and an attorney | ||||||
4 | general appointee to the Illinois Opioid Remediation Advisory | ||||||
5 | Board; he additionally chaired the St. Clair County Disaster | ||||||
6 | Mental Health Council, served as a founding member and | ||||||
7 | treasurer of the St. Clair County Children's Advocacy Center, | ||||||
8 | and belonged to the National Association of Social Workers, | ||||||
9 | the St. Clair County Council on Aging, the St. Clair County | ||||||
10 | Healthcare Commission, and the National Association of County | ||||||
11 | Behavioral Health and Disability Directors; and

12 | WHEREAS, During his career, Dana Rosenzweig has | ||||||
13 | continually demonstrated leadership and a keen awareness of | ||||||
14 | the legislative process; and
| ||||||
15 | WHEREAS, Dana Rosenzweig has a Bachelor of Arts and a | ||||||
16 | Master of Social Work, and he is a licensed social worker | ||||||
17 | (LCSW); therefore, be it

18 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
19 | HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
20 | we congratulate Dana Rosenzweig on the occasion of his | ||||||
21 | retirement from the St. Clair County Mental Health Board, and | ||||||
22 | we commend him for his 24 years of dedicated service and for | ||||||
23 | his leadership in advancing behavioral health practices in St. |
