HOUSE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
Representatives wish to congratulate the Blessed Sacrament
School 7th grade girls volleyball team, the Bruins, on winning
the Illinois Elementary School Association 2022-23 Class 2A
State Championship; and
WHEREAS, The Bruins went undefeated throughout their
season, finishing with a record of 30 wins and 0 losses on
their way to the championship; and
WHEREAS, The Bruins are coached by Jessica Barcik,
Patricia Nikson, and Heather Sobieski; and
WHEREAS, The members of the Bruins are Addi Maddox,
Addison Nikson, Carys Caton, Grace Decatoire, Hannah Barcik,
Kaitlyn Sobieski, Kylie Petropoulos, Lexi Kotner, Lucia
Thompson, Lucy Ambrose, Mary Kate Ozyurt, Natalie Jacobs, and
Samaria Bakamba; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
we congratulate the Blessed Sacrament School 7th grade girls
volleyball team, the Bruins, on winning the Illinois
Elementary School Association 2022-23 Class 2A State

Championship, and we wish them many more successful seasons;
and be it further
RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be
presented to the coaches and members of the Blessed Sacrament
