| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives wish to congratulate Angie Guerrero of Chicago | ||||||
| 4 | on the occasion of her retirement as an educator for Chicago | ||||||
| 5 | Public Schools (CPS) after 27 years of service; and
| ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, Angie Guerrero immigrated to the United States
| ||||||
| 7 | from Mexico as a child and was raised in the Little
Village | ||||||
| 8 | neighborhood of Chicago; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Angie Guerrero has dedicated her
career to | ||||||
| 10 | serving her community as an educator; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, Angie Guerrero began her career in education as a | ||||||
| 12 | teacher at the Little Village Academy, teaching there for 11 | ||||||
| 13 | years; and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, Angie Guerrero subsequently served as assistant | ||||||
| 15 | principal at Gary Elementary School for 16 years, where she | ||||||
| 16 | was responsible for assisting in the administration, | ||||||
| 17 | direction, and organization of the school, as well as | ||||||
| 18 | providing professional support for fellow educators; and
| ||||||
| 19 | WHEREAS, Angie Guerrero's legacy as an educator continues | ||||||
| 20 | through her son, who found his own calling in education and has | ||||||

| |||||||
| 1 | risen to serving as a principal in CPS; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 2 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
| 3 | HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||

her retirement as an | ||||||
