| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives wish to congratulate the Morgan Park High | ||||||
| 4 | School baseball team, the Mustangs, on winning the 2021 | ||||||
| 5 | Chicago Public League City Championship; and
| ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, The Mustangs' victory came on May 29, 2021 at | ||||||
| 7 | Kerry Wood Field against their rival, Simeon Career Academy, | ||||||
| 8 | who they defeated in a two-day, rain-delayed thriller, 14-11; | ||||||
| 9 | and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, The Mustangs were honored on June 3rd with a | ||||||
| 11 | parade down Vincennes Avenue featuring a Chicago Fire | ||||||
| 12 | Department and Chicago Police Department escort followed by a | ||||||
| 13 | brief program and pep rally at Morgan Park High School; and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, The Mustangs also won the city championship in | ||||||
| 15 | 2014; and
| ||||||
| 16 | WHEREAS, The Mustangs advanced to the state playoffs; | ||||||
| 17 | therefore, be it

| 18 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
| 19 | HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
| 20 | we congratulate the Morgan Park High School baseball team, the | ||||||
