| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 | | Representatives wish to congratulate the Morgan Park High |
| 4 | | School baseball team, the Mustangs, on winning the 2021 |
| 5 | | Chicago Public League City Championship; and

| 6 | | WHEREAS, The Mustangs' victory came on May 29, 2021 at |
| 7 | | Kerry Wood Field against their rival, Simeon Career Academy, |
| 8 | | who they defeated in a two-day, rain-delayed thriller, 14-11; |
| 9 | | and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, The Mustangs were honored on June 3rd with a |
| 11 | | parade down Vincennes Avenue featuring a Chicago Fire |
| 12 | | Department and Chicago Police Department escort followed by a |
| 13 | | brief program and pep rally at Morgan Park High School; and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, The Mustangs also won the city championship in |
| 15 | | 2014; and
|
| 16 | | WHEREAS, The Mustangs advanced to the state playoffs; |
