| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives wish to congratulate Kevin Hamilton on the | ||||||
| 4 | occasion of his retirement; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, In 1978, Kevin Hamilton followed in the footsteps | ||||||
| 6 | of his father, Don Hamilton, by joining the Carpenters Union; | ||||||
| 7 | he achieved journeyman status and served as job steward, | ||||||
| 8 | foreman, and general foreman; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, In 1990, Kevin Hamilton was appointed as Business | ||||||
| 10 | Representative for Carpenters Local #377 in Alton, where he | ||||||
| 11 | also served as Officer and Delegate; in 2001, the Southern | ||||||
| 12 | Illinois District Council and the St. Louis Carpenters District | ||||||
| 13 | Council & Vicinity merged and he retained his appointment as | ||||||
| 14 | Business Representative; and
| ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, In 2013, Kevin Hamilton was appointed as Illinois | ||||||
| 16 | Coordinator for the Council; in 2015, he was appointed Director | ||||||
| 17 | of Jurisdiction/Illinois Coordinator; and
| ||||||
| 18 | WHEREAS, Kevin Hamilton is a member of the United Way of | ||||||
| 19 | St. Louis and Illinois, the Leadership Council of Southwestern | ||||||
| 20 | Illinois, the Madison-Bond Workforce Investment Board, and | ||||||
| 21 | serves on the executive board of the Riverbend Growth | ||||||

| 1 | Association; and
| ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, Kevin Hamilton married Mary Ann Leonard in 1981; | ||||||
| 3 | they have a son, Adam, born in 1989, and a son, Chris (Joan), | ||||||
| 4 | born in 1983; they have two grandchildren, Reid and Graham; | ||||||
| 5 | therefore, be it

| 6 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
| 7 | HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||
| 8 | congratulate Kevin Hamilton on his retirement, and we wish him | ||||||
| 9 | the best in all his future endeavors; and be it further
| ||||||
| 10 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 11 | presented to Kevin Hamilton as an expression of our respect and | ||||||
| 12 | esteem.
