2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
3 | Representatives are pleased to congratulate O'Fallon High | ||||||
4 | School senior Keith Surber on winning the Class 3A State title | ||||||
5 | in wrestling on February 20, 2010; and
| ||||||
6 | WHEREAS, Keith Surber dominated (New Lenox) Providence's | ||||||
7 | Edwin Cooper 15-4 in the Class 3A 130-pound State title match, | ||||||
8 | held on Saturday, February 20, 2010 in the Assembly Hall at the | ||||||
9 | University of Illinois-Champaign; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Keith Surber ended his Panthers career with a | ||||||
11 | four-year mark of 181 wins, 9 losses, and his senior season | ||||||
12 | with a record of 51 wins and one loss, and joins an impressive | ||||||
13 | group of four-time State tournament medal winners from the | ||||||
14 | metro-east area; and
| ||||||
15 | WHEREAS, He placed fifth, third, third, and first in his | ||||||
16 | State career; he became the first State wrestling champion in | ||||||
17 | O'Fallon High School history; and
| ||||||
18 | WHEREAS, He is ranked Number One in the State of Illinois | ||||||
19 | in the 130-pound weight class; and
| ||||||
20 | WHEREAS, His coach is Glenn Exton; Keith Surber has been |

1 | recruited to wrestle for the University of Nebraska in his | ||||||
2 | future college career; therefore, be it
| ||||||
3 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
4 | NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | ||||||
5 | congratulate Keith Surber and wish him the best in his future | ||||||
6 | endeavors; and be it further

7 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
8 | presented to Keith Surber as a symbol of our respect and | ||||||
9 | esteem.
